Summer Groups 2019

Full payment due at time of registration (Cost of camp + $25 registration fee*). All camp fees are non-refundable unless due to camp minimum not being met. Registration fee waived for current PTP clients.

SUPERFLEX CAMP:   Social Skills Group (6 weeks)

New to “Social Thinking”? This group is for 3rd-5th grade elementary school students interested in working on team skills and group participation.  Meet Superflex and learn to defeat some of the “unthinkables” around town through games and group activities.  Learn how to adapt to different social challenges and incorporate flexible thinking skills for participating in a variety of situations. Minimum group size is three with a maximum of six. This group will be 50-55 minutes with the last few minutes to review group session with parents.

WEE SOCIAL EXPLORERS:   Early Social Skills Group (6 weeks)

Our Wee Social Explorers will learn the important tools that promote participation in a group setting. Using the We Thinkers Curriculum, children will listen to stories that teach about thoughts and feelings, thinking with your eyes, following a group plan, and whole body listening. Sessions will use a multi-sensory play experience to practice, learn, and experience social thinking skills. Minimum group size is three with a maximum of five. This group will be 50-55 minutes with the last few minutes to review group session with parents.

SHARING AN IMAGINATION: Social Skills Group (6 weeks)

Children will continue to build social thinking and group skills as they learn how to share an imagination during play.  Teaching points will include Wee Social Thinkers Curriculum from both part 1 and 2 to develop whole body listening, imaginative play, and size of the problem/size of the reaction.  Sessions will use a multi-sensory play experience to practice, learn, and experience social thinking skills. Minimum group size is three with a maximum of five. This group will be 50-55 minutes with the last few minutes to review group session with parents.

  • June 13, 20, 27 & July 11, 18, 25
  • Ages: 5-7 years old

FITNESS WITH FRIENDS: Fitness & Social Skills Group (6 weeks)

Fitness with Friends is a social and recreation program for children with special needs. This camp provides a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment to develop new skills while making friends. Children have the opportunity to participate in fitness activities and each session will additionally include one other fun activity including: arts/crafts, cooking, dance/movement, and more. Sessions will use a multi-sensory play experience to practice, learn, and experience social thinking skills. Minimum group size is three. This group will be 50-55 minutes with the last few minutes to review group session with parents.

  • $185
  • Starting week of June 17th (skipping the week of July 4th)
  • Age groups: 4-6 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old
  • Tuesday and/or Friday Groups at 10:00 am & 11:00      (exact day/time will be dependent on # enrolled)
